START

THE INTRODUCTION TO PLAYHR

Start is where most women begin their golf journey.

It’s designed for players who are new or relatively new to the game, or who feel they need to start afresh.

This is an optimized introduction, a well-rounded equipping of the skills & tools required to get you straight onto the golf course.

It is welcoming, fully supported small group coaching.

WHO IS START FOR?

Start is for women who:

  • are new or relatively new to golf, or maybe still feel like a “beginner”

  • want a welcoming & well-rounded introduction to golf - & the golf course

  • might feel slightly intimidated or nervous about getting started

  • are willing to commit to a 6 week cohort (*can repeat the programme)

  • want on-course experience, not only range time

If this sounds like you, Start is the perfect entry point to Playhr.

WHAT START INCLUDES

1) Weekly coached sessions

  • 90-minute coached group session per week (alternates with on-course sessions)

  • Small, consistent cohorts (4-6 players)

  • Coaching that ensures tools & skills acquired for on-course play

2) On-course application

  • 90-minute on-course play as part of the programme

  • Par 3 9-hole course (Dukes Meadows Golf, Tennis & Ski)

  • Coaching typically across 9 holes (Green fees & equipment included.)

3) Coached practice sessions

  • One 90-minute practice session every-other weekend

  • Focussed drills & stations based on the previous coached session theme

  • Meaningful & structured practice time

4) Seasonal structure

  • Fixed seasonal cohorts

  • Clear rhythm of learning, practicing, and playing

  • Consistent progress rather than random lessons

Start gives you the tools & skills you need to get onto the golf course - & you will complete 9 holes.

There are two Start Programmes available for each Cohort intake. A Monday evening Cohort from 6pm - 7.30pm & a Thursday evening Cohort from 7.30pm - 9pm. Each Cohort runs for 6 weeks. It is possible to complete 2 x Start cohorts before moving to Core, in many instances it is advised. In addition to the weekly coached session or on-course lesson there is a Start Practice Session every other weekend. Please view cohort details for specifics.

    June 15th - On-Course Session (25yds)

    June 22nd - Pitching Session

    June 28th - Pitching Practice Session (Sunday)

    June 29th - On-Course Session (50yds)

    July 6th - Full Swing Session

    July 12th - Full Swing Practice Session (Sunday)

    July 13th - On-Course Session (Full 9 Hole Par 3 Course)

    Cohort B: Thursdays @ 7.30pm - 9pm & every other Sunday @ 10am - 11.30am

    June 18th - On-Course Session (25yds)
